Welcome to my new adventure………I’m training to be a Transformative Coach.
If you are anything like me your first question may well be….What on earth is that? So here’s a quick overview…..
Essentially, Transformative Life Coaching explores a client’s inner world of beliefs, assumptions, values and expectations in order to create greater possibilities for ways of being in life. It goes beyond surface level goals to create deep, longer lasting change - Transformative Coaching can help people to reframe their mindset, develop new perspectives, and align with their purpose to achieve personal and professional growth. Think light bulb moments.
It’s a bit different from traditional coaching as it delves into the inner world and helps to shift core patterns of thought and behaviour for more profound and sustainable results.
Now, for anyone that knows me, you’ll know I like to chat openly about what’s happening in my world (obviously not when I’m actually coaching) so I thought for my initial intro into my new world I’d explain how I got here.
First off, this is by no means a replacement of my yoga world, I absolutely LOVE teaching yoga!! However, over the years I’ve sustained various injuries and I’ve had to continue teaching even though I was in considerable pain. Add to that that I’m fast approaching 50 and soon my absolutely gorgeous children will be leaving the nest (I’ll need a lot of coaching around that!)……I decided that I wanted to branch out into something new. The question was what…….Apart from the physical practice of yoga with its myriad of benefits, you may wonder, "what do I love about teaching yoga?"…….The answer was simple - the people, being able to share parts of their lives, the ups and downs and in-betweens with them; I can’t tell you how much joy I get from every interaction I have with people who come to my studio and - quite frankly - anywhere: dog walks, on the streets, in shops etc. I love human interaction and hearing about people and even more importantly having the absolute honour of sharing parts of their world.
My initial draw was to train to be a therapist as a lot of the work I do is around emotion and trying to help people. Then, two of my amazing therapist friends suggested coaching. "Mmmm", I thought, "What’s that?". I knew it was amazing in the work place, but I didn’t know much more about it. I was a bit sceptical and nervous as quite frankly I wasn’t sure what they actually did. From my experience, when there were coaches in the work place or from what I’d seen on the TV, they seemed to be portrayed as a bit wishy-washy……then, I read more about it and I was instantly hooked. Within months I signed up to a course and started my training and I can honesty say that I’m totally converted and invested.
What I LOVE about it is that it’s about moving forward and feeling heard, but in a really safe and confidential environment. Coaching can help people to have an increased sense of awareness, to build their confidence, it can give a better sense of purpose and create new insights into their own situation and/or behaviours which all make a difference. It can help build emotional strength and resilience, challenge limiting beliefs and reframe thinking from negative to really empowering perspectives. Transformative Coaching helps to identify the root cause of behaviour and beliefs and this can create a lovely ripple effect through your life that can lead to transformative change.
Initially I was still unsure of the title 'Transformative Coaching’ - then, I did this one session and was absolutely blown away by the impact…..then I understood. It was one of the most beautiful things to witness.
So here I am. I’m still nearly qualified and enjoying it immensely. So much so that I’m going to do an additional, deeper course on Emotional Coaching as I feel that this is where my passion lies as it fits in so beautifully with what I do.
That said…… at first, when I was talking to my husband, I had the limiting belief (see - I’m already using the lingo) that I’d never be able to coach in a corporate environment as I’d be out of the corporate world for so long. He was brilliant. He looked at me and said "what on earth are you talking about? You were knee deep in the corporate world for ages, you then decided to follow your dream, take a gamble and train as a yoga teacher and start your own business". A lovely shiny penny dropped…..that’s pretty true. It also taught me a lot about myself…..don’t set limits, Stay open minded to all that comes.
So here we are....…in the adventure.
Does that sound of interest?
How does it work and what happens in a session?
Coaching is a partnership. It’s two people working together in a future focused conversation to enable them to gain more insights and move them forward. Some see it as simple as the coach keeping you company whilst you think a thinking partner.
Coaching is simply a method to help you work out a way forward. I don’t suggest ideas, I’m by your side so you can work out where you are now, where you would like to be and what might block you and then to find a way forward.
We would have a consultation session so that you can ask as many questions as you need and I can go over how it works in more detail. Then, if it suits you, there will be a series of sessions (a min of 4 if you enjoy the first one if that’s ok but you can have as many as you like), they don’t have to be weekly but we can fit them in whenever suits.
The idea is to bring something to explore, or something that you are stuck on and we work forward together.

Currently the sessions run via Zoom so you can be in the comfort of your own environment.
How long is a session?
Each session will be 50 mins of actual coaching and then a bit of time for feedback, so around an hour.

Testimonials:
Sian has an incredibly beautiful way of making you feel completely at ease from the very first moment you meet her. Her presence is grounding and reassuring, creating a safe space where honesty and vulnerability come naturally. Throughout our time together, she has supported me through a truly pivotal chapter in my life - navigating a significant career transition while also confronting the fears and self-doubt that had been quietly holding me back.
With empathy, insight, and gentle challenge, Sian has helped me peel back the layers and get to the heart of what needed to shift in order for me to move forward with clarity and confidence. Her coaching has not only guided me toward professional growth but has also inspired a deeper sense of self-awareness and trust in my own path. I’m deeply grateful for her support and the transformation that has unfolded through our work together, and honestly couldn't recommend her highly enough. Daisy

Dear Sian, just a quick note to say thank you so much for the coaching. I didn't know what to expect going into it but it's been so helpful - I have felt so much calmer and happier since talking to you about everything. It helped me in much more of a holistic way (than the CBT) and I feel a lot more rational about things now. I don't think it would have been so useful with someone else. You make everyone feel special and enough in everything you do and you're going to help even more people through coaching. Thanks again, Tamsyn.

Recently I had a series of online personal coaching meetings with Sian Snow. I am now delighted to be able to recommend her. As a result of our sessions, which were interesting and positive, I feel that I have regained my confidence - that had been waning. With Sian’s gentle questioning and intuitive assistance, I would say that I have achieved a general increase in feeling far more comfortable with myself. I am now a lot more positive in my outlook having discussed various issues with Sian.

"Coaching with Sian has been revelatory. I had been going through a difficult time at work and was trapped in a burnout cycle, and knew something needed to change, but wasn't quite sure what or how. Through my coaching sessions with Sian, the changes I needed to make unveiled themselves, both big and small, quick and slow. I've changed roles at my workplace, and am working to address how to prevent getting burnt out in future. Sian has guided me through all of this, helping me to quietly uncover myself what I needed to do and how, to effect the changes I needed to make. Sian is probing and challenging but in the kindest, gentlest way, and is therefore exceptionally effective at getting results." Libby
